Clear cleansing waters saturate
The barren desert of my soul
When on God’s Word I meditate
And His glories there, behold.

Light rays of truth illuminate
The darkest recess of my mind;
It kindles there a living faith
And leaves all doubt and fear behind.

The burning fire of truth creates
A blazing flame of hope within,
A glowing warmth that permeates
A heart and soul once cold to Him.

On Jesus’ love I contemplate---
Such love that set this captive free---
That God Himself came incarnate
To purchase me through Calvary.

Oh boundless depths of love so great
Which minds can never comprehend!!
As on such truth I meditate
I bow my heart and worship Him.
