Anyone who gives a cup of water in my name will by no means loose his reward." Mark 9:41

In this section of this chapter in Mark, Jesus disciples seemed concerned because there were some folks who did not belong to their fellowship of disciples who were doing things in Jesus name, such as casting out demons, etc. However, Jesus was not in the least concerned, He was thrilled! As a man on earth, and today as well, Jesus is happy to see anyone be about His father's business. And even though those people in Mark were not affiliated with the origional cast of 12, if they were indeed sincere followers of Messiah, and were doing His will, they too recieved a reward. Jesus needs all kinds of people to be His hands and feet, and the more the better! He needs a big body, because its a big world with a lot of lost people. No matter how big or small the "cup of water" given in His name, He will reward us, we shall surely be blessed. He has all kinds of callings, all sorts of positions to be filled and the only resume we need is a willing spirit and the desire to serve. He will place us somewhere, and when we allow Him, He will fill us so we may be able to hand out cups of water in His name, for His glory, to further His Kingdom. The world, whether they know it or not, is crying out for Jesus, and we as His children have an awesome oppurtunity to serve Him, and others by sharing the good news of His salvation and love. before you leave the house, allow God to fill you with His spirit, so you may be a "waterbearer" for Him, a beacon of light for our Messiah, in this world which so desperately needs Him. love,Jamie
