Leaves disintegrate beneath every step
Darkness encumbers your soul
Walking in the human ways.
Destroying every creation
Wickedly turning
Without a glance,
Without a smile.
Flames begin to dance
Amongst evening skies,
Swimming in seas of fire
Drowning, divulging
In every desire.
A touch,
A taste
A glimpse at deception
As Satan feeds your suffering soul.
A wicked lie with every breath,
A ploy to diminish your existence.
A tear you shed,
A nightmare lingering.
A soft, silent prayer,
Lord, help me.
I know you’re there.
Calmness and strength,
Leaves flourish beneath every step
Lightness encumbers your soul,
Walking in the lord’s ways.
