I am sure that most of us have seen the commercial for a popular vacation spot in Las Vegas. The commercial assures you that “What happens here stays here!” Unfortunately that is the mentality of a lot of people. Today, as I was out with a friend doing some shopping, she had mentioned the ever popular TV show “The Bachelor.” As she went on to describe some of the events that took place on the show, I was taken back by the blatant lack of shame portrayed by the women on that program. I do not watch this show and after hearing her description of it, I am now, more than ever confident I have made a wise decision.

We have come to a place and day when promiscuity or indecent behavior seems to be more and more accepted by this generation as well as magnified by the media. In reality, many young people and many adults succumb to the lie that their actions have no affect on those around them. They believe that what they do with their bodies is their own business and that no one will ever find out. Under the blanket of this deceiving myth they continue their folly with no regard to accountability. For those who hold no fear towards the Lord, the day of reckoning will come.

“But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.” (Numbers 32:23) KJV

There have been things in my own life that I regret deeply that I have done. Perhaps they are words spoken rashly in anger or actions that would cause great shame to the name of Christ. I have had my day of reckoning this side of heaven. You see, as we come to the Father with a broken and contrite heart, He will not reject us. (Isaiah 66:2) Perhaps you feel the wrong you have done could never be forgiven by God the Father. I have felt that way too, but I was wrong. ( Romans 4:7) I am truly walking in all the blessings God has for me. You can too!
