Hear My Humble Prayer

I went to God in solitude
to present my humble prayer.
“Oh, God” I cried “hear my plea
and tell me that You care.

When You created the heavens,
You painted the skies with blue.
The earth received Your glory,
revealing the splendor of You.

Your majesty is seen in all creation,
pristine is every detail.
Your hand is faithful in all You do,
and Your word has never failed.

Lord right now, I need Your supply,
to help me in my darkest hour.
Pour out Your grace and mercy on me,
Your promises are filled with power.

There are doctor bills and rent to pay
and the kids are sick with the flu.
I’ve been out of work for five months or more
and Lord, I don’t know what to do.”

Tears filled my eyes as they fell to the ground,
when suddenly I saw an angel of light.
“Weep not my child, for the Lord has heard,
and gives you this promise tonight.”

The Lord says, “I’ll go before you,
you have been faithful to Me.
Your burdens shall now be mine,
and I will set you free.”

In an instant the light disappeared,
and so was the angel’s voice.
Since that night, God has made a way,
for believing by faith is a choice.

Thank You dear Lord for hearing my humble prayer.

“Faith asks no signal from the skies,
To show that prayers accepted rise,
Our Priest is in his holy place,
And answers from the throne of grace.”
