Stunning revelation, they begin to shout the blame,
Frantically scrambling anywhere, feeling waves of shame

Panic mounting swiftly, fear will not subside
Hope beyond all hope, they try to flee and hide

Embarrassed to the core
Knowing Eden is no more.

Hopelessly fallen from heights so glorious
From Him who shaped their form and loveliness.

What inner discontent, what subtle lie
Whispered “Surely you shall not die?”

What compelled her first to take the chance?
Was she blinded from her importance?

Confused, Seduced, Bewitched, Beguiled?
Did she cast away truth she was God’s child

Forgetting they were shaped from His heart’s desire?
Birthed by hand, His breath, and sparked by Holy Fire?

Stripped of essence, now naked, exposed
Knowing they have been deposed

Inward screams of disbelief,
Wails and tears but no relief

Fig leaves woven, fragile, bare
Pitifully broken, bound by sin’s snare

Desperate to take back the choice
Unwind the past, obey His voice.

Lost. All is lost. Severed.
All is lost? Forever?

She cannot stand or bear the pain
She hears a bitter voice exclaim

“It was her! This woman you gave me!”
Bone of his bone, flesh of his flesh: fallen- now they “see”.

Heart broken, their Father passes judgment
His awesome holiness cannot relent.

No more ruling reagents, No more concord reign
Bitter taste of sorrow, seeing no refrain.

No more image bearers: broken, shadow, marred
Death has entered every cell, made a soul deep scar

Under deceiver’s dominion; sweating, labor, toil,
Thorns and thistles rife the ground- all of life recoils.

Stealing, killing, draining life of all their peace and joy,
Darkness seeks to overcome, blot out and destroy

Fiendish delight: Satan sure he’s won this epic fight
But how can darkness extinguish Pure, Divine Light?

Is He not the stronger? How can chaos win?
His Will prevail, His Word the champion?

Startled by a Word she hears, hope takes her heart to flight
“My seed will crush the serpent’s head and all will be made right?”

How? When? Can it be now? All creation groans and pleads
When will all be reconciled? Can His plan succeed?

The universe in motion, continues dimming, losing life,
Yearning for reclamation, restoring all its rights.

He pierces the darkness, robed in light, He grows from babe to man
He stretches out His arms in love, His death reveals His plan.

His blood is fullest payment, wrath assuaged forevermore
Sin is trampled underfoot, Jesus is the Door!

Righteousness is satisfied, He bore it all for all
The beginning and the ending of man’s horrific fall

His Kingdom is coming, His reign is assured
His will be done! Redemption procured!

He’ll usher in that glorious day, He’ll claim His rightful place
The universe resounding of His amazing Grace!

All eyes shall see, all men shall bend, all falling to their knees
The Rightful King will be Supreme- Ruling Mightily.
