Confidant
(A bit of nonsense for the Homonym mini challenge!)
He sat upon his favourite stair
And stifled back a tear
His injured soul he could not bare
He wanted none to hear
Instead with a determined stare
And resolve tier on tier,
He said to his loved teddy bear:
‘I’m glad it’s just you here.’
'You always know and feel my pain
My deeds you always know
And when sadness does in me reign
You always kindness show.'
'You know I broke that window pane,
You know I shouted ‘No’,
You know I got soaked in the rain,
Don’t tell Mum what you know.'
