What are the special differences between the TV shows, Arthur and Dora the Explorer? The special differences of the two children shows include character’s age groups, story lines, and teaching strategies.
The character’s ages are one of the dissimilarities in the shows. In Arthur, Arthur and his friends are in the third grade. The show also takes place in an elementary school environment. Arthur is aim towards the third graders and up. On the other hand, Dora the Explorer’s age groups maintain within infants, toddlers, and preschool. Most of the time, Dora’s episodes are set in the out of doors.
A further appealing detail is that the story lines are contrasted. For instance, in Arthur, the story lines circulate around the characters. An example would be Muffy, one of Arthur’s friends, comes from a rich family. In addition, Muffy receive everything she wishes. Buster Baxter is another character from Arthur. His story line believes in aliens. Meanwhile, Dora’s friend, Boots probes a series of questions. Along with Boots, there is Swiper the fox, Map, and Backpack. Swiper the fox’s background is being caught red-handed while stealing. Map conveys the directions for Dora and her friends. Backpack has a unique theme song and holds Dora’s belongings.
Another difference between the two shows is their teaching strategies. For instance, Arthur educates children about issues that children currently encounter. An example is an Arthur episode. The episode was about D.W. struggled to get rid of hiccups for two days straight. Conversely, Dora the Explorer uses a computer screen environment to educate kids. Dora provides sing-along’s that relate to basic math, Spanish, and following instructions.
Although Arthur and Dora the Explorer have contrasting learning styles, problem solving, and character age groups; the two shows are similar in that they bring enjoyment, education, fun activities, and entertainment to children of all ages.
