When I’m worn out, burned out, and bummed out,
When life seems less pleasure than pain,
Should I bury my head ‘neath my pillow
Or praise You just the same?

When I’m listless, witless, and clueless,
Having passed my day in a daze,
You deliver me from dark depression
By the gift of worship and praise.

When I’m shattered, scattered, and tattered
My scheming and dreaming betrayed,
I can choose to retreat into my corner
Or believe, and not be afraid.
