Yesterday we planted a tree
it seemed so small and thin
but all the potential God planned for it
is hidden deep within.

There are buds upon the tree
a promise of what is to come;
with sunshine, water and room to grow
it'll change completely before it's done!

It reminds me so of how our love
once planted, continues to grow;
from the small plan God set in motion
now the most wondrous thing I know!

Every day is a different adventure,
together we discover things brand new
and every day a thousand chances,
to tell how much I LOVE YOU!!

The tree of love just keeps on growing,
into the most beautiful thing that ever was,
and the fruit of it is so lovely and tender,
all its sweetness is 'just because'!

I will tend to our love every day,
to grow roots so deep and true,
and every day new fruit will bloom
a gift to say how much I LOVE YOU!!
