I imagined I was in a wood, and on the ground lay a blank paper book,
alongside was a pen of silver, I picked them up to have a look.

Inside the book were smooth blank pages, just waiting for words to be writ;
and the pen almost trembled in my fingers, to put down words in silver script.

So I tried it out, and wrote some words, oh, how beautifully they flowed from the pen, my simple words had become a poem a treasure that never before had been.

As soon as the words had been written down, the page suddenly floated away; rising on the warm currents of air, to God's hands, to have their say.

And I laughed to think that God 'hears' what I write, so many things I wanted to tell Him, of how I longed to have someone, whose love for me would never dim.

Then God answered that plea for that one spring day when I first heard from you; my heart knew that you had that gift, bringing me love, ever fresh and new.

So now each day in my heart I write, on those wondrous pages that fly away,
all the words to express my love, and into your heart they make their way.

So each day you will have some words a little rhyme that tells so true,
of all the love that fills my heart, and every moment, I give it again, to you!
