You wonder if life is even worth living. If waking up every morning is even worth it. You go to bed at night hoping and praying that the alarm will forget to go off. You make up reasons as to why you shouldn’t get out of bed. If you had it your way…you would stay in bed forever. You wonder if there is anything more than what you have…then what the world has to offer. More than just the same daily routine. "Why do I even get up?? Why do I even bother starting another day??" you ask yourself. And yet the alarm always seems to go off…and you seem to continue to get up everyday. For reasons you may not even know or understand. You are afraid to look yourself in the mirror. Afraid of whom you will see. Afraid of what they will look like or even say to you. You stare in the mirror and see a face you don’t even recognize. A face who tells you that you are ugly and not worth it. Telling you that you should just give up and go back to bed. That you’ll never go anywhere…and that no one will ever accept you. You listen to these thoughts…and soon realize that the person in the mirror is you. Yet these thoughts still continue to take over your mind and bring you even lower than you began when you first got up. You honestly consider going back to bed and never getting back up. But yet you don’t. You choose to go out into the world and continue on with your daily routine. You don’t understand why. Deep down inside there must be a reason. There must be a longing to see if you can find that something that you are longing for. To fill the emptiness that you have been holding onto for years. You feel that there has to be more. So you say good-bye to the mirror and continue on with your day just hoping…longing…Deep down you know that there is more. There just has to be…or else you would not even bother. Your determination brings you to God. Praying for better…for more…for something to fill in the gap. The gap between you and the mirror…the gap between you and the alarm clock. You soon find that God is that something that you have been looking for. You can’t figure out why you didn’t find that out years ago. Could be because you were listening to the face staring back at you. Or could be the fact that you let the world control you and your thoughts. The world has had you tied down for so many years. But now that you have found God your chains are beginning to break. They are beginning to fall off of your arms and legs…and most importantly your heart. You begin to feel like there is a reason to live. You find yourself ignoring the face in the mirror. Although you don’t understand the power of God you still continue to seek God, and continue to draw closer to Him. You no longer have to worry about the face in the mirror telling you all those lies that you once believed…because now you know who you are and just how special you are. You also know that you ARE accepted. If not by the world, you are accepted by God. That’s enough for you. Now, life as you know it is no longer a daily routine. It is a life full of love, friends, and joy. It is a life with purpose. It is a life worth living!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
