I remember back when I lived up north the summer nights I thought were so hot, there was no air conditioning then, just to move the air would be a lot.

So we'd set a fan in an upstairs window with the air blowing out, not in, and leave the windows and doors downstairs open, and wait for the cooler night wind.

Soon it would happen, coolness came from below and flowed up the stairs to our rooms, and the fan gently pushed out the hot air, along with the stillness and gloom

The freshness would gently start to blow touching our faces and hair, and sleep would then come, soft and sweet, brought by the cool night air

It made me think of how God arranges our lives when He is King of our life, at the end of each day He gently blows away all the days troubles, all of the strife.

And in its place He pours out comfort, peace and love fill the air, and sleep is sweet when we're held in His hands, knowing that we are safe there.

He gives me a sweet taste of the best of all gifts, and makes it new every day,
because He brought you and I together, love for each other is here to stay.

It is the fresh breeze that blows away trouble, and brings joy and peace in its wake, and my heart overflows with the wonder I have, in the love I give you and that you give back for me to take.

How thankful I am for Jesus' loving care, for the joys He brings ever new, and most of all for this best gift of all, for the joy of loving you!
