Marriage

I watch the birds soaring up in the sky, and wonder that they can reach so high, and think about the air currents they ride, invisible to the eye.

They catch one current that takes them straight up, it seems to the level of the clouds, and then another will push them along, coasting like a boat upon the sea.

It reminded me of our love, that invisible bond, that keeps us close as can be, and even though we cannot see it with our eyes, it holds us captive, yet it sets us free.

It is all around us, like the air we breathe, it fills my heart to the brim, it brushes my face as I walk in the sun, to show me its there, even when I cannot see.

The force of this love/breeze brings us together, and at the same time keeps bad things away, it helps us soar high on the wings of our dreams, it whispers in our ears, reminding us to pray.

I am so blessed to be by your side, to know that you belong to me, and to know that God has given us this gift, this love we share, so deep and high, even though it is unseen.

Its effects are woven in the fabric of our life, like the wind filling the sails of a ship at sea, and I rejoice in the knowledge that the breeze will always be there, keeping us together, you and me.
