It is my every dayís prayer that as long as Iím living on earth, I may not fall out of Godís way. I long to die in God and resurrect to life when Jesus comes back. The poem below is my prayer for the painful stay here on earth and my wish to die in Christ. I wrote it with my future old age in mind and I therefore dedicate this piece to all the ancients in Christ. Here weíre:
MY JOURNEY OF NO RETURNÖ
Mine days on earth are numbered.
My stay isnít for long.
Iím just, but a passer by.
As each second tick away on my timepiece:
The little painful days on earth are slowly eroding away.
My flesh is getting shrunk and exhausted.
My black hair is slowly sprouting snow.
My sparkling wide eyes are getting dim and weak.
My solid teeth are fragile to grind and drop off,
And a wooden staff is now my third leg,
Since my back has slacken off its reinforcement.
I heave a deep sigh for I know the finishing line is close.
The net is about to close on my lifeís journey,
And Iím heading to the dark pit, my sole home.
Oh, Lord, let that day meet me with you inside my heart.
I have been walking with you in these little days on earth.
Help me to finish the journey with your truthful word clung to my lips.
Let not the Devil sway me with his enticements.
I need to sleep well in your peace in the deep dust,
And wait for Jesusí second coming to take me to immortality.
After this journey of no return to mortal being.
