When I was looking for curtains for my windows, there were so very many choices, that deciding which pattern was the exact right one was like picking one out of a chorus of voices.

There were fabrics hard and soft, some thick and others thin, some were solid colors, some held wild patterns within - so it became more of a process than one decision and you're done, but if you took your time, you could find that perfect one.

It made me think that our love is like that, it can take on many forms, can be expressed in a myriad of ways, and one by one we make each choice in what we do, to dress the windows of our life to express what's inside our hearts each new day.

I like to think of sheer curtains hung with care, ones so light that the smallest breeze of delight and care can set them dancing right where they are, full of love to share.

They are sheer so that nothing is hidden, the pure light of God's grace can shine through, and on each one is stamped a new design that delights the eye to view.

Swirls of color, or an outline of a leaf, simple designs that each day are new, ones that express in a different way each time, quiet pictures that show how much I love you.

I thank God each day for making me thus, for teaching me to let my window curtains be so light and sheer, and for allowing me to trust and to have faith that dreams would come true, for encouraging me to dare and have no fear.

For when I learned that this was His plan, and decided to believe what God said was true.....He added the loveliest design to the curtains of my life when He gave me you.
