And he received circumcision as a sign, a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. So then, he is the father of all who believe but have not been circumcised, in order that righteousness might be credited to them. And he is then also the father of the circumcised who not only are circumcised but who also follow in the footsteps of the faith that our father Abraham had before he was circumcised. Should we have outward signs associated with our inner belief. Yes, I do believe we should. If we choose Christ, then we should be baptized. Just realize that it is not the baptism ceremony that brings you into the family of God, it is the inner faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior which brings you in as a child of God. The baptism is a celebration with others outwardly of that which has taken place within. We as Christians are sent then by Christ into the world to share the Good News. We are sharing that which is within us, the love, joy and peace of Christ, along with the message of who He is and the power that He has to forgive sins and raise one to a new life.
