The storm roars and the winds of life shift and turn,

And the dark night seems to last for just too long,

The bright sunny sky full of joy you yearn,

The Lord will return, so just stay strong,

You wait on patiently, but you often seem too weak,

Your mind wants you to do right, yet your body tells you wrong,

And that hope of salvation seems so narrow and bleak,

But onto the Lord you must hold, so just stay strong,

The day seems so weary with every step that you take,

So quickly the days and the years are gone,

So little time left for the good you must make,

So trust in the Lord, just stay strong,

Your heart truly hungers to follow his way,

He washes your sins and carries you on,

So keep seeking after his Word and humbly pray,

Receive the grace he gives, just stay strong,

The day of the Lord will soon arrive,

We will sing his name through praise and song,

He will bring us eternally home, forever alive,

And through his love we will stay strong.
