Your conscience is one of your most valuable tools.
By its guidance you can walk through areas that you’ve not yet been schooled.

It will alert you to areas whether lawful, or not that are not good for you.
I have liberties in Jesus, but some might be offensive to others of God’s chosen few.

I must never use my liberty at the expense of someone else for whom Christ died.
Because I also have the right not to exercise my liberty for the love I have for Christ.

Surely the latter is more in harmony with the example left us by Christ.
Preferring a brother or sister in Christ above myself is a most satisfying life.

We know that Jesus left us an example, and his way is a sure way to follow.
Being tender to the consciences of others helps us and others to spiritually grow.

If you choose to use your liberty in clear view of a weaker saint’s sight.
Can you be sure that this moment won’t bring despair, and cause them to one day abandon the fight?

Love for others should be our final rule, and love will keep us from causing someone else’s fall.
True love produces action, and this action will make us tender to all.

Anybody can love those, and walk tenderly around their closest of kin.
But to love those outside your circle is when you know you are getting closer to him.

Lord please give me a spirit that is tender to all people that you have placed around me.
Help me to see those little areas that might be lawful but not expedient, and stay away from them to help them believe.

There is nothing that we have in this life that is worth stumbling one little, unnoticed soul.
With this spirit I cannot go wrong, and God will repay me with much needed mercy to keep myself whole.
