Love declared through Jesus Christ

^“No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.”

John 1:18 NKJV

The Lord has revealed Himself to us from the very beginning. Starting from the Garden of Eden when He had a regular fellowship with Adam and Eve and also from the various instances of answered prayers and the deliverances He brought about for His people, also the many times the Lord spoke to the prophets and spoke to the people through them, the Lord has expressed His goodness and willingness for fellowship.

Yet in all this, the very personality of God was not rightly interpreted by His own people. It seems the people knew much about Him, however did not know Him personally.

The Lord in the form of Jesus Christ came down and dwelt amongst us, He expressed His greatest love to us through His compassion and His sacrifice of Himself on the cross on our behalf.

In the person of Jesus, the Father has declared Himself and now for all to know and see, that this great, awesome and marvelous God is also the most loving compassionate and considerate.

Charles W.Fry has rightly written when he composed one of the most beautiful Christian hymns

“I have found a friend in Jesus, He is everything to me.”

Through Jesus, now we know the goodness and the mercy of the Lord.

God for a Christian is no more  an angry judge sitting there to slaughter or someone very cruel and gruesome , rather for a Christian, God is ‘the loving Father’, ‘the best Friend’ and someone Who understands Him/her the best.

Let’s thank God for revealing Himself to us through Jesus Christ, for He has always intended to bless us and love us in the best way we could ever have.
