Often when we see our circumstances and surroundings, one thing for sure we will agree with the Bible in this...
"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"
Romans 3:23 (NKJV)
Having known the fact of the downfall of humanity, what is the remedy? how can they achieve the thing for which they have now fallen short (the glory of God)?
often when we try to asses this and in doing so also do a self introspection (for we too are included in the 'all' as mentioned in Romans 3:23), let our hearts know this that God too is worried about this and thus He says...
“Listen to Me, you stubborn-hearted,
Who are far from righteousness."
Who are far from righteousness."
Isaiah 46:12 (NKJV)
The remedy is to hear from God and to heed to what He says.
Here's what Paul says are a few prerequisites for the spread of the gospel....
"How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? "
Romans 10:14 (NKJV)
how will they believe unless they hear? how will they hear without a preacher?
Someone rightly said.."preach the gospel, use words if necessary." this was said to preach by one's own life.
We should be a living gospel and the world should see, read and know the Lord Jesus from our lives.
We have a blessed responsibility and accountability for the Lord's work.
to the question which Cain asked to God, "Am I my brother's keeper?"...the answer is "Yes".
May the Lord fill us with a burden for the lost souls, equip us with His Word and empower us with His Holy Spirit.
The Lord has a blessed plan to restore us back to glory, let's be a part of this plan for our own salvation and for the redemption of the lost.
