THE BATTLE FOR OUR MINDS

We have been told to occupy … But resist the desire to conform
But I feel that my efforts, have gone awry … In my attempts to inform
My youth and strength, are left in the past … So now I just sit and write
But I feel that my words, are treated as trash … As the multitudes run from light

All of the good, that is done to please … Are no more than filthy rags
Working so hard to be put at ease … Admitting we’re sinners, would be such a drag
But that is the truth, so hard to swallow … For our infection is pride
So in our own filth, we squirm and wallow … Down the broad road we slide

To admit that we’re wrong, would take a strength … That most, have not been endowed
If we would sit and slow down, be quiet and think … And resist this need to be proud
We would see the truth, that we must believe … That left on our own, we have not a chance … Against the powers that be

In this world in which we live, It’s a physical realm
In a war that is out of sight, with a foe who can powerfully overwhelm, And demons instilling fright
But we have been given a greater power … Through the blood of a sacrifice
And very quickly we’re approaching the hour … Very little time to analyze

It’s a spiritual battle in another dimension … With the power to destroy our minds
It’s good and evil that’s in contention … And the rewards, are all of mankind
So fall on your face, you rebellious fools … Who believe that there is no God
Before it’s too late and you become a tool … And a slave of the lying fraud
