THERE IS BUT ONE GOD

Why do we exist … What was the purpose of the snake
Why not be dismissed … As a colossal mistake
There was a time past … That this was done in a flood
Not yet surpassed … But we’ll again become mud

Why were we created … Are we really needed
It has been debated … That we are not completed
How did we begin … Are we just an accident
Bones, blood and skin … That then became animate

As a whisper in the wind … We live and then we die
And mostly we pretend … That there is pie in the sky
Just do what feels good … There really is no reason
Our leader now a Robin Hood … But do we know the season

Here then are the questions … Are you searching for the answers
Or do you join the congestion … Of all the blind dancers
We have a free will … That will determine where we end
We will either be thrilled … Or in Hell we will descend

To simply not believe … That there is any truth
Is a choice and we are free … To join the silly fools
There is but one God … And only one truth
The other is a fraud … That will soon see the proof

The truth has been disclosed … He is known as the Word
It has all been composed … But we do need to search
And we are now in the season … We have been told to watch
All will soon be in completion … And truly built upon the rock

There will soon now be a time … Believers disappear
And all those left behind … Will witness evil being seared
We are here to make the choice … Of which God we will obey
Either hear His gentle voice … Or be led astray

History in advance … We all have been warned
And we still have a chance … To escape the coming storm
