Will You Be My Angel
One last breath stolen by the night,
No longer do you have to fight.
Eyes fall shut against the pain,
Remember you have no reason to shame.
A vision of white suddenly appears,
A kindly voice says, “you have nothing to fear.”
Loved ones hover nearby,
I know you wouldn’t want them to cry.
No more long journeys to a doctor far way,
The place you are going has sun everyday.
So do not worry about those left behind,
You will be our lovely angel, so divine.

Carol, I am just covered in chills. I've always believed I had an angel in the grandmother I never knew. She died long before I was born, but SOMEBODY who loves me has been praying for me... someone other than my Savior who makes intercession for me at the right hand of the Father. I believe that someone is her. If you so wish, I would be honored for you to read 'Ode to a Rose and a Ruby.'
