In a moment of flashing stupidity,
   thinking, "You don't desire me!"
      I lost sight the one thing true,
   now remembering the love of You.
In a seizure of glaring fallibility,
   thinking, "You've no need of me!"
      I forgot what is true,
   now I recall the love in you.

I'm the one that I can't see
   in this corner of eternity.
All I see is all of you,
   choosing to be with me true.

The worst thing about me
   I'm afraid you could see.
And though you have, you've been quiet;
   being kind to quell the riot.

The best thing about me
   is all of those around me;
      the ones who stay behind me,
         loving me very kindly.
The best thing about me
   is the Lord all around me;
      He has helped me, this I see;
         this Truth is planted firmly.

I perceive and I'm convinced
   His love is with me ever since
      the time I came into His mind
         and He responded, being kind.
His Love was there before I was here,
   gives me my undeserved cheer.
Yet it is there, even here
   found among all of my peers.

Thank You, Lord, that You're true.
May I always be found in You.
Lock my heart, keep it safe,
   until I see Your face.
Thank you, all, that you've not left,
   or else I would be bereft.
Now we'll move on. That is, forward,
   leave the past, for the Lord.

May we all be found in Him,
   for we all are born again.
Anything less is idolatry;
   by His Spirit, we now see.
If I don't see you, see you later
   by the Tree of ever after
      where we'll laugh at what has past
         at this life, that flew so fast.
