Galatians 6 (New King James Version)


Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.



Dearly beloved brothers and sisters, we live in a culture that has taught us to expect something for nothing which the government call entitlements. This expectation is not only from the poor and minority communities but the rich and well to do and even the Christian and religious communities have been infected with this entitlement mentality. The above scripture allows us to understand that you can not fool God....."God is not mocked." Literally it means that God is not out foxed and you are deceiving yourselves if you think that you can sow apples and reap oranges. The Kingdom of God has a spiritual principal called sowing and reaping which involves the law of reciprocity. Seed-time and Harvest will exist as long as the earth remains. Therefore, you must be aware of what you have been planting because there will be a time of harvest rather you have sown good seed or bad seed. Also know that if you have not planted any seed there will not be anything to harvest, simply put if you have not used your faith in God's word and given of your time, talent and money into the Kingdom of God how can you expect to reap the blessing the Bible declares are yours ,"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38 (NKJV). What have you been sowing lately? If you want a harvest from God (blessings) you must sow seed (time, talent, good deeds, money) into the Kingdom.
