Maneuvering Through the Darkness

To understand darkness we must know what the light is all about. Ephesians 5:8, 11 for ye were sometimes darkness but now are ye light in the Lord, walk as children of light. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

In restoring the inner connection of man to God we have inadvertently taken our minds off of what is important and what is not. We unintentionally have led astray the sheep God called us to attend to. We have provided them with excuses to remain a sinner rather than come to Christ. Somewhere along the way we made mistakes and allowed ourselves to be caught up in sin giving the sinner reason to continue to sin. God have mercy upon us and forgive us our oversight. We in most cases have been snuck by the enemy of our souls. But why do we keep running from the lover of our souls? It’s time to stop running and maneuver through the darkness we find ourselves in. What God has said to us in his Word, somewhere we have neglected to obey and failed to realize that Satan has tricked, deceived, or beguiled our minds. He has made us think we need not repentance. We are alright with God, but he is a liar. God is not alright with the little lily white lie. God made the night; so He surely knows when we are walking in darkness. We think we can outsmart God? Well we cannot, it is He that have made us and not we ourselves.

Genesis 1:2 darkness was over the face of the earth. God called the darkness night. He named the darkness and He also named sin darkness. When Jesus took on sin as a final blood sacrifice for man the darkness came upon the earth as He was hanging on the Cross at Calvary; Why? Jesus asked Father has thou forsaken me? God had not forsaken His Son; He just don’t have anything to do with sin. To go into the darkness we must have first walked in light to know what the light is all about. This is why Jesus made himself known to man so that they might see the light and desire to have the light of lights. Jesus said in St. John 8:12 again saying I am the light of the world, he that follow me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of day. What did He mean; light of day? Jesus brought the truth to man about their Heavenly Father and how man was to glorify the Father God from the beginning, now and forever.

Isaiah 9:2 the people that walked in darkness have seen a great light; they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. Isaiah 42:16 and I will bring the blind by a way that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them. God brought us to the light but we looked back to sin therefore bringing darkness once again into our lives. What caused us to come to the light is repentance and repentance again will bring us back to the light of Jesus Christ. Jesus sent the Holy Ghost to help us maneuver through the terrains of darkness because he had brought forth the light of life. The light of the body is the eye and our eyes must be single. We cannot serve God and mammon too. We were warned to not to taste certain things for a reason. It’s not that it was not good but it would bring darkness to those that had already received the light. Our single mind must be connected to Jesus Christ and Him only so that we keep our sights on Him. If our mind and eyes is not stayed on Jesus Christ then we cause our eyes to be evil. Then the whole body shall be full of darkness. If we cannot read God’s Word and comprehend it then we cause the light in us to go out and the Holy Ghost that once dwelled no longer operate in our services. Matthew 4:16-17 the people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up. From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Luke 11:34-36 the light of the body is the eye; therefore when thine eye is single thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

Church what do we have that is more glorious than the love of God? God wants us to present ourselves to him a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Jesus came and showed the Love of God, he brought back the once lost light that dwelled in man that they may see God as He is. That once clean Spirit that was breathe into man was given to man again and that’s the final light we will have along with the Word that will sanctify and cleanse us with the washing of water by the Word. The Word obeyed will clean us up and it along with the Holy Ghost will keep us. Now how faithful is God to give man a second chance? How can we not love Him when He has done so much for us? What greater love than this can any man give? It’s not happening, Jesus has already done it and He is coming back again to take all those that have obeyed and accepted Him to reign with Him.. Will we be left out? Paul said in Acts 26:18 that we are to open our eyes and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

This light we are talking about always shines because we have the light; Jesus Christ. We are always under the radar. Did not Satan find his way to where Jesus was? What Satan knew that man would not comprehend is who Jesus was and he also know who you are when you are walking in the light that is come into the world the second time. The first time the light came was when God said let there be light and the Spirit moved upon the face of the deep. Now His Spirit moves and lives in the hearts of man. When we began to walk in darkness we say we love the darkness more than God. We say that God is not able to keep us. Our deeds become evil and we began to hate the light so then we stay away from the Word. But our deeds can be reproved, Repent. Come back to God with the truth operating in us again. If we do not repent and come back to God; He will manifest our deeds done in the dark so that we can once again find our way back to God.

Romans 13:12-13 the night is far spent, the day is at hand; let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor or light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantoness, not in strife and envying.

I Corinthians 4:5 therefore judge nothing before the time until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts, and then shall every man have praise of God. God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness have shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Jesus in St. John 17 prayed that God would be glorified in the work that Jesus came to the earth to do. Now we are working in the vineyard of Jesus Christ that our works also would bring glory to the Father. It’s time men come back to the salvation we have been afforded and loose the captivity that have kept them bound. We can be free today!
