Dreams – The most alluring, enthralling, enchanting, mysterious & phenomenal word which has baffled the world and scientists for ages.

What I like the best about dreams is that within minutes, you can be anywhere in the world, wherever you wish, at no extra charge and have a perfectly safe voyage. It can smoothly take us around time and space. For those who are far away from us, in a matter of seconds they can be with us in our dreams.
To sum it up, we can even live the part which does not happen in reality, very joyfully in our dreams. We can actually be among the stars in the galaxy of life, whirling around in exhilarating speed among the planets of fantasies, fulfillment and happiness.

It is truly the only time when we actually float in the air and soar high in the sky with an ethereal feeling of divine bliss. Perhaps, some dreams are a foretaste of what is destined to happen.
It is always so fascinating to hear about visions and prophecies. Sometimes, one wonders what is the dividing line between dreams and reality? Can we fulfill all our unfulfilled wishes, hopes and desires in our dreams? At times, even day dreaming can be quite enjoyable.

Though, all dreams are not so ardent after all. Sometimes, dreams foretell impending events, the shadows of which can bring about gloom. Yet other dreams can be a sign of warning to alert us into escaping doom.
Thus, dreams can never be underestimated, there is always an underlying message and it takes great insight to interpret certain dreams.
There have been instances of communication even from the world of the dead via dreams.

In fact, dreams has always been one of the favorite mediums that God used since the beginning of time.
We all know about Joseph and his interpretation of dreams in the Old Testament; how God communicated with him through dreams only. At the age of seventeen, Joseph dreams twice that he will rule over his family; he sees the sun, moon and eleven stars bowing down to him. Years later, he clearly interprets Pharaoh’s dream; envisioning the seven years of abundant harvest to be followed by the seven years of famine that will strike Egypt. His foresight guides the Egyptians to store enough crops in barns, not only to tide the country over the famine period but also enough to help the neighboring regions which come in to buy food. This helps him to be reunited with his estranged brothers and father; Jacob.

In the New Testament, we see how the angel appears to Joseph in a dream and convinces him to take Mary as his wife as she has conceived by the Holy Spirit. Later it is through a dream again, that the Holy Family is warned of Herod’s plans to kill the Holy Infant and flees to Egypt.

Even today, God speaks through dreams to wise and gifted men and reveals messages to help them discern various issues and aid people in the process of inner and spiritual healing.
As we see in the book of Numbers 12:6; "Listen to my words: "When there are prophets of the LORD among you, I reveal myself to them in visions, I speak to them in dreams."
We further read of this promise in the book of Joel 2: 28; "And afterward I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions."

There is also a time for every dream to unfold its proper meaning and purpose. Everything has been set in place from the beginning of creation and nothing will happen before the allotted time.
As the Lord said; “Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." Habakkuk 2:2-3

Dreams can also hold the very promise of eternal life. The best visions ever recorded in the Bible are in the Book of Revelation. In fact, this whole book is dedicated to the Visions which John was given a glimpse of; Visions of Heaven, the Throne of God, the Scroll and the Lamb , the Seven Seals, the disasters that would befall the world and the new Heavenly Jerusalem
It is not just the last book in the bible but also foretells of what will happen at the end of time.

Well, a dream will always be a dream until we wake up and live those dreams or cherish them.
And, for those who are apprehensive that they may never wake up from their dreams, the best way to ensure otherwise is to stay awake the whole night!
