"I am now born again", these are the words with which many of us enter into the kingdom of God. It has taken a while, but I believe we have gotten closer to an accurate definition of what it means to be born again.

When I was in high school, to be born again had many strange definitions. It meant you stopped dancing, started fasting and walked very carefully cause the rapture was right around the corner. Being a Christian meant being miserable. If that's what it means then you are better off just the way you are. Life already has enough misery by itself. Even Jesus said this.."Each day has enough trouble of its own"(Mat6:34)

The good news is, there is a better definition. To become a Christian doesn't mean to accept a philosophy, a set of rules or to believe a set of principles, to become born again means to have God live inside you. God has been born again in you. It means a fresh start with God.

It means to repent: Decide to be different, stop trying to do it by yourself. Admit you are on the wrong road and want to get it right

It means to be converted: Turn around and go the opposite direction with Jesus (Savior)

It means to be forgiven: You have your sins taken away, "just as if you never sinned'(Justified). Your record has been swept clean, and to be forgiven everyday.

If it's that simple the how do I get in?
1) Realize you have been lost and be willing to go God's way.
2) Admit you have been wrong and ask the Father to take away your guilt and sin by the blood of Jesus
3) Ask Jesus, God's Son to come into your life and become your Savior (Helper) and Lord (Owner)
4) Believe He has heard you, and thank Him for saving you.

Welcome in! Now we can begin talking about the Blessing of Abraham and all the rest of the good stuff.

We didn't stop drinking it's the Fountain that changed, we didn't stop dancing it's the style that changed, we didn't stop the music, its the lyrics that changed!
