One who is Willing!

As we travel along life’s highways
We often see other people with great needs,
But we’re traveling to fast to stop
Or to other’s cries to heed.

We say the traffic blocked our path
Or that we are late on our latest run,
All the time making up our excuses
For what we know we should have done.

That stranded traveler, by the road
May be someone’s wife or even their mother,
We know that we might have helped
But we didn’t have time to bother.

We reason to ourselves, why we didn’t stop
The Police will surely come and help them,
But how will help know to come this way
When we don’t even take time to call them.

But when it is us, that has broken down
We tell GOD our needs that NOW need filling,
Yet even though many are available to help
He has trouble finding One Who Is Willing!
