FIRST COMES BELIEF
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that anyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life”.
The disciples believed and wanted to go and spread His truth but Jesus told them to wait until His Spirit comes.
SPIRITUAL ENCOUNTER TO TRANSFORMATION
Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere-in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth”.
Acts 2:16-19 “No, what you see was predicted long ago by the prophet Joel: ‘In the last days’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants-men and women alike-and they will prophesy."
SURRENDER TO HIS SPIRIT
John 16:13-15 “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you”.
Acts 20:22-23 “And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there. I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me”.
GIVING UP OURSELVES TO BE USED BY GOD
Mark 8:35 “For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it”.
LIVING BY JESUS' EXAMPLE
John 14:12 “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father”.
YEILDING FRUIT
James 2:14-20 “What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, Go I wish you well; keep warm and well fed, but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself if it is not accompanied by action, is dead”.
FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT
Galatians 5:22 ”But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”
TRANSFORMED BY THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIS GRACE
AND THE EMPOWERMENT OF HIS SPIRIT
His grace leads us to an encounter with His love that leads us to surrender all to Him and be empowered through His Spirit to be His disciples and carry out the great commission.
JOY AND PEACE IN THE SPIRIT
Nehemiah 8:10 “…do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength”.
Psalm 2:12 “….Blessed are all who take refuge in him”.
Psalm 37:4 “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart”.
TRUE LOVE TO NEW LOVE
1 John 5:3 “This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world”.
