The standard was excellent, but three of the top 40 made it to the top. Well done to all the contenders, but our congratulations go to the following three writers:
BEST OF THE BEST WINNERS – 2010
1ST PLACE ($300)
No Man’s Land by Ann Grover
http://www.faithwriters.com/wc-article- ... p?id=35894
2ND PLACE ($100)
OH! Heaven Leigh Day by Mona Purvis
http://www.faithwriters.com/wc-article- ... p?id=33702
3RD PLACE ($75)
Ruined by Sheri Gordon
http://www.faithwriters.com/wc-article- ... p?id=33841
Ann has been in the Best of the Best awards on at least three other occasions, but this is her first time at the top. No Man's Land was an outstanding piece of writing.
Mona's very clever creativity and delightful humor in OH! Heaven Leigh Day pushed her entry through the ranks as well.
And Sheri is in exactly the same position she was last year. So close to the top with her brilliant, and gut-wrenching, entry--Ruined.
The standard was so high this year that the three entries that placed immediately after our top three were tied for fourth place. I'll let you know who they were after our three winners enjoy their well deserved moment in the spotlight.
Love, Deb

What a wonderful and diverse group of writing!
A very impressive group of winners indeed! From gripping, to hysterical, to heart-wrenching, each has a different style, a unique message, and each conveys truths that go beyond the stories. And all of this without being 'preachy'
Congratulations!
Congratulations!
