A song from my childhood keeps running through my mind. It said, “No place to hide, when days are long and dreary, no place from evil can I flee. No place to find a moment’s peace of mind, no place to hide but Lord in Thee. No one to hear when in the night I’m crying, no one to love and comfort me, no hand to hold dear Lord when I am dying, no place to hide but Lord in Thee.”
In these troubled times we’re living in we do have a place to hide in our Lord Jesus Christ. We can find peace and tranquility, if only we turn to Him. God, alone can heal our nation if we’ll all join together and pray for peace.
Jesus said, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and I will give you rest.” This is still true today even in the midst of all the turmoil that rages throughout our land and country. We can turn to Him and receive peace to our hearts, minds and souls. Peace that gives us the strength to go on with our lives even though our world is falling apart around us.
There’s no sense struggling with worry and cares of this life when we can simply turn it all over to Him. He wants to carry our burdens and to give us rest if only we will let Him. Nobody else ever loved us enough to give His only son to die for us--------and, nobody else ever will.
