Peace, and how would I describe it? Whatever I would say of peace, would
Certainly be based on my personal perspective, drawn from what hasn't
Represented peace in my reality. However, what I have learned is peace
Has a life all its' own.
Peace is recognizable as a calm, reconciliation that immunities from the
Inside outward. It's that something you can't quite put your finger on,
You sense it, and no matter what occurs the calm pervades.
"Therefore , since we have been justified through faith we have peace
with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained
access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice
in the hope of the glory of god. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our
sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance."
Romans 5: 1-3
Peace can be the sunrise in the early morning, or a hummingbird extracting
Nectar from a flower, a bird chirping and singing nearby, or a flowing,
Trickling stream, giving a sense of serenity and calm.
Being pleased with ones life, and achievements, moving forward through
Your life full of love and acceptance creates a heart of joy, and ultimately
A life of peace.
Above all, peace is acceptance of. Its' all pervasive, open, kind, transcendent,
Intangible to the touch. A seeing , a knowing, a feeling, wisdom that surpasses
Perspective and conception.
Peace can have many descriptions, quiet, order, serenity, tranquility, or
Quietness, peace can be calm, harmony, quiet of conscious, repose, even
Pacification or humility. Certainly to have and experience peace, one must
Also experience and feel the depth of these words, bring life to them, in
Order to know the full meaning of what peace itself represents. As the
scripture of Colossians 3: 12-13 "Therefore, as God's chosen people
holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness,
humility, gentleness and patience.
Peace is an energy. The ultimate offering. Peace has a purity that appears
To lack complication and yet in its simplicity there is complexity, without
Either peace does not flow.
Peace opposes fear, terror, anger, anxiety and shame, it does not tolerate
Apathy, guilt, grief, desire or pride. Peace cannot accept hate, craving, regret,
Despair or blame, and won't support humiliation.
Peace has no part in destruction, elimination, abdication, despondency, with-
drawal, enslavement, aggression or inflation.
Peace is acceptance. Peace goes beyond the norm, understanding that is
So etheral, so wise, and intangible, it's no wonder it is so misunderstood.
Our society isn't based on peace, love, or honesty thus peace to most represents
a word only, and is globally viewed as non action. Oftentimes those who
adopt a peaceful path are mistaken as weak, and are often seen as someone
to malign and abuse. Considered unintelligent and an easy mark, peacemakers
don't garner much respect. However as stated in Psalms 37: 11 "But the
meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace."
One has to only look at Jesus's legacy to know peace. Peace in and of itself
Surpasses all understanding, and because most individuals in our society function
at very base levels of consciousness, their minds can't comprehend such a
lofty endeavor. Peace transcends and rises above, unfortunately those who
take the path of most resistance, and choose peace as life paths are often
considered the least among us.
Being peaceful is heroic in nature; it requires an extraordinary individual,
to take this journey, to reach this. Always with a willing spirit, in the face
of indestructible odds, ridicule, misunderstanding and pain.
To move beyond all hurt, all conditions in love and peace, irregardless of
the odds. Knowing that nothing in this world has meaning.
Influenced as we all are, we still must make choices that will create a new
reality based on what we learn and believe to be true. In taking responsibility
for ourselves we can create a completely new reality that transcends the
base consciousness of all things we know, by realigning, reeducating,
creating a new paradigm of love and peace, that one person at a time
can elevate the consciousness of our world.
Peace is compassionate, crosses all boundaries, lacks judgement of an adverse
or negative nature, peace is acceptance, an open door, knowing and understand-
ing, excluding none. "Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to
peace and to mutual edification." Romans 14: 19
Knowing Jesus is knowing peace, to follow Jesus is an expression of peace.
Peace through calm in nature, is radical in effect, Peace can move mountains,
If it is the Peace that surpasses all understanding. Gods Peace!!!
