Prayer is not mysterious, or a magical petition,
Prayer is conversation, about joy or contrition,
Just as you would call a Dad, on the telephone.
Sharing little secrets, known just to him alone.
So prayer’s communication, with a Regal father.
Reach out, call to Him, it is not ever any bother.
He loves it when you speak to Him about life,
What is it that satisfies, or what causes strife.
Oh, tell Him that you love or revere Him dearly.
He‘ll be so happy, for He loves you quite clearly.
Once you have asked, believe with all your heart,
That everything possible will be done on His part.
Sometimes answers are different than we’d wish,
Believe it’s for our good to provide and replenish.
He supremely knows the very depth of your being,
What we want or need at times we are not seeing.
He knows the end, the middle, and final conclusion.
What will not fit the plan, He deems it an exclusion.
Go now; ask for everything yet leave Him to decide.
Study scripture so you will know His promises abide.
