He tossed and twirled, did somersaults, back flips and yelled hooray
The fluffy cloud called out to him, my son have you gone mad
Oh No! the raindrop said with pride, today we are so glad
Whatever are you saying and who's this “we” you mean
The little girl who lives down there, he pointed as he beamed
I fell one day from Jesus side, upon that wooden cross
And wandered round for years and years, I really was so lost
One day that little girl called out from in her soft down bed
That was the day I went to clear, from brightly crimson red
I used to be her tear drop, It was an awful mess
And now that little girl and I have both been truly blessed
She doesn't need me anymore, God took away her pain
And took the salt out of my soul, Now I'm a drop of rain
I have learned to accept change and when my time is due
God sends me on to those in need, a child, a farmer...you
I'll always have a purpose, and help to do my part
I'll do it for the Lord my God, a love within my heart
I never know just what's in store and I'm not gonna stop
Cause after this I could become a simply new dew drop
King James Version (KJV) Deuteronomy - Chapter 32 - "My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass." – Deuteronomy 32:2
