1. You need to send something in the mail. What do you do?
A. Put it with your car keys and grab it on your way out the door.
B. Place it near the door, where you might see it, but may just as easily walk past it when you leave.
C. Leave it on your desk, where you find it a week later.
2. Someone asks you to get four items while you’re at the store. What do you do?
A. Write them down, and put the list in your pocket.
B. Write them down, leave the list on the kitchen counter, pull the car out of the driveway, but remember to go back and get the list.
C. Believe you’ll remember and take off for the store where you promptly forget two of the items.
3. Someone reminds you to take out the trash. How do you respond?
A. Thank the person and take out the trash.
B. Say you’ll do it in a few minutes, at which time you may or may not remember.
C. Get defensive, pitch a fit about being reminded, and then forget to take out the trash.
4. The new season of one of your favorite TV shows starts in a few days. What do you do?
A. Write it down, send yourself an e-mail reminder, and set the DVR to record it in case you forget to tune in when it’s on.
B. Write it on your hand, as if you aren’t going to wash your hands over the next few days.
C. Assume that you’ll remember. And you do, three days after the fact.
5. You go into a room to get something, but forget what. How do you handle this?
A. Step back out of the room to where you started from, which jogs your memory.
B. Think about it for a while, and then give up when it doesn’t come to mind.
C. Sit down and relax, putting no effort into remembering why you went in there in the first place.
6. You need to put gas in the car on your way home since you need to leave early for a long drive the next morning. What do you do?
A. Write a reminder on a sticky note and put it on the steering wheel.
B. Remind yourself as you get in the car, then get distracted while listening to the radio.
C. Nothing. Then drive past the gas station on the way home.
To calculate your score, for each response, assign points as follows:
A – 1 point
B – 2 points
C – 3 points
Add up your points and see what kind of forgetter you are using the descriptions below.
6 – 8 points – You’ve failed Forgetting 101. You think ahead, and you’re organized and on top of things. You’d be better off taking the quiz, “What Kind of Rememberer Are You?” Forgetting isn’t your thing.
9 – 13 points – You’re a Forgetter Wannabe. But there’s hope. If you stop putting effort into remembering, you may be surprised at how much you can improve. Keep trying.
14 – 18 points – You’re the Master Forgetter. Your ability to consistently forget is admirable. You’re a champ as well as a role model for others.

BTW, I am in group A, but I somehow don't feel validated. I almost think I should be in Group C!
I was smiling all the way through.
