Puzzled by the words that Jesus said
Confusion filled their foggy eyes
Until the parable, Jesus clarified
Each moral story taught God’s rightful ways
Some heard the words, but “deaf” ears strayed
They lived for a world that will cease to be
Rather than for heaven’s eternity
See Matthew 13:10-16
Jesus spoke of seeds and how they were sown
Some by waysides or in places of stones
Those who received seed among thorns
Led unfruitful lives with hearts forlorn
But seeds received in fertile ground
Understood God’s words, their fruits abound
So the parable of the sower states
Listen, understand--a fruitful life awaits
See Matthew 13:18-23
The parable of the wheat and the tares
Spoke of God’s kingdom and wicked snares
The wheat was choked by the enemy’s weeds
Planted on purpose to kill heavenly deeds
The crops grew together till harvest was ripe
The tares were bound, then in bundles burned bright
The wheat was gathered, and in His barn stored
For these good seeds belonged to the Lord
See Matthew 13: 36-43
