If want goes beyond its need,
Life eventually becomes tough,
For those who live their lives in greed.
For those who live their lives in greed,
Moderation is not understood,
They want it all, oh yes indeed,
Including the bad and the good.
Including the bad and the good,
They seek both kinds of pleasures,
That reach beyond mere earthly food,
To find gold and silver treasures.
To find gold and silver treasures,
The ones of the worldly kind,
Without giving thought to measures,
To share doesn’t come to mind.

For those who want it all,
They seek and never find,
Pride can cause them to fall.
Pride can cause them to fall,
On the road to richness they seek,
All or nothing, as they hear the call,
They trample upon the meek.
They trample upon the meek,
To receive their money and glory,
Aren’t they the ones who are weak?
So begins a different story.

The meek inherit the earth,
And greedy ones lose glory,
The price their sins are worth.
