ADD TO MY FAVORITES
that I would not mislead,
but would know myself and let others know me.
Let me clothe myself in humility
knowing that all I have is not mine,
but gifts to be used always for the good of all.
Let me clothe myself in color
because life in Him is abundant,
full, alive and without limit.
Let me clothe myself in joy;
joy that stays in and with me even
when happiness may scamper away.
Let me clothe myself in approachability.
“Love as I have loved you,” He said;
so I need to let them near.
Let me clothe myself in listening
That I would be a restful place,
a place of safety and understanding.
Let me clothe myself in confidence, remembering
If He is for me,
Who (there is none) can be against me?
Let me clothe myself in energy -
I am His and He is mine
The harvest is big, the workers are few.
Let me clothe myself in discipline.
I would be a constant;
respectable, dependable to finish the task.
Let me clothe myself in the moment.
The moment that is here, now,
the one that will make a difference.
Let me clothe myself in forgiveness.
I will fail.
I will need a reason to try again.
Let me clothe myself in His love,
Remembering that people who hurt sometimes hurt other people.
His love is the power to change that.
Let me clothe myself in the Lord Jesus
That my life would give Him glory
even beyond that wondrous day
when my name will be called,
And He will say to me
“Good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord.”*
