I stand my ground,
refuse to bend,
not with self-reliance,
but with a stable God,
as I face the giants.
When troubles appear,
I remain bold,
I don’t give in to fear,
not with self-reliance,
but with a reassuring God,
as I face the giants.
When I feel I can’t go on,
when life’s too hard,
I still march on,
not with self-reliance,
but with almighty God,
as I face the giants.
When enemies are vicious,
I don’t give in,
remain tenacious,
not with self-reliance,
but with a steadfast God,
as I face the giants.
When I face defeat,
I dare not run away,
I plant my feet,
not with self-reliance,
but with a faithful God,
as I face the giants.
When many things go wrong,
I don’t back down,
I must stand strong,
not on self-reliance,
but with a steady God,
as I face the giants.
