Love of many is waning and cold—
Current scenario, long ago penned,
Just as God through His prophets foretold.
But the fig tree’s in leaf! Time to pay heed—
Call to mind all the words of The Lord;
Back in the land to the father’s decreed—
God is watchful to fulfil His word.
No woman forgets the child that she bore,
Has no love for the son of her womb?
Then God won’t forget the promise He swore
Though His enemies plot and fume.
Etched on the palms of His nail-scarred hands
He remembers Jerusalem’s walls
His covenant made with Abraham stands—
He will answer when Israel calls.
Sing all ye heavens, let the earth rejoice!
For to Zion the Lord reveals grace,
Listen you lands to the sound of His voice!
Very soon He returns to this place!
The promises made He’ll never rescind
Though the people forget and ignore,
He’ll consummate all and the King will descend—
Peace in Zion for evermore.
“Can a woman forget her nursing child,
And not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you.
See, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands;
Your walls are continually before Me.” Is 49:15,16. NKJV.
