TITLE: The Teacher's Book | Previous Challenge Entry

ADD TO MY FAVORITES
To announce the start of school,
I would begin to write the first page
Of a brand new book.
To add to a long series
I had worked on for years.
I’d open with characters,
Already important in my life,
Along with a whole new cast
Of young people who would live
In the pages of my novel.
The chapters would all
Be filled with varying plots,
Some exciting, some humorous,
Some sad, but many mundane
In the ordinariness of
Day-to-day sameness of
Studying and learning together,
While at the same time,
Building blocks for
Further leaning experiences
And for life itself.
Some of the people in this book
Would try their best,
And some would try my patience,
But by the denouement,
I would have attempted to teach
Each one with love
And to demonstrate kindness.
Now that I have come
To the end of the entire series,
I am left only with the memories
Of the various characters and plots,
As well as the knowledge that
I have written the very books
God had purposed for me.
