I don't know if this is a true story about you, or someone you know. We want to avoid thinking about a child's life in this light. We want to think of baseball, tea parties and giggling games. But in reality the world is stained with so many stories like this. They inspire us to trust in Jesus to hold us up and bring us through. Good Job. Well written and heartbreaking to think there is such evil in the world that will steal childhood. I think you hit the topic in a way we really don't want to think about. God bless and we pray for those living this horror.

Too many children experience this reality in our world and not just in Islamic countries. You capture a nightmare with graphic images and feelings. Any child living with the complexities of war wounds needs friends - I'm glad this one had Jesus and others.
