Squelch in muddy puddles
Scrunch and sift through golden sand
Love baby’s, as you cuddle
Step North
Hinges for an easy stride
Bended in humility
Knocking hard in nervousness
A knobbly utility
Walk North
Eleven for supposed luck
Short and stocky, tall and thin
God is near if they’re called ‘last’
Stay the race, claim the win
Run North
Empty in the starving
Too full through selfish greed
If sickened by injustice
Our Lord will hear your plea
Turn North
In absence it grows fonder
In sadness it may break
Filled with love and sturdy faith
Disciple it will make
Beat North
Made to give Him glory
And eat of His provision
Don’t let yours become bad or foul
Or stoop to rude derision
Speak North
Viewers of creation
Witnesses to truth
Let them read God’s written Word
From early in your youth
Look North
Clenched in righteous anger
Stretched high in open praise
All in to build community
God’s Kingdom they will raise
Hold North
God makes every body part
With purpose, as intended
Keep to the course, don’t weary now
In Jesus, we’re perfected
Stay North…in Him.
