And as they move, my peace they take.
His motives might be lily-white
But somehow trigger fight-or-flight.
Cold irritation soon becomes
A burning flame, with yellow tongue,
Of spitting, crackling wounded pride,
Whose heat awakes the wasp inside.
Soon smoke of grey obscures my eyes
And all that's round me, I despise.
My judgement clouds; all sense departs
From rock-hard fists and granite heart.
My wrath aroused – how could he dare?
Through slitted, mamba eyes I glare
Green venom levels hit their spike
The hissing serpent, poised to strike.
Hot hatred spews with force unchecked.
My rage cares not for what it wrecks.
Though swords tear flesh, words sever souls.
In blood-red mists, I lose control.
If true or false, I do not care;
My purple language fills the air.
Harsh words that bruise him to the core
And stay with him forevermore.
My vented rage hangs in the room,
It fills the atmosphere with gloom.
A deep, black void forms in my head;
I hate myself for what I've said.
But now he drowns in deep distress,
Emotions just a bloodied mess.
When hatred’s flame burns blue and bright,
He’ll take revenge, when time is right.
