Oh my word! What a powerful piece! And true, as well. I can't imagine the heartache but the Lord giving you a glimpse of what Martin would do in heaven is such an example of His grace and mercy. At first, I thought the title meant that God was laughing, then realized it was Martin. But, it could be both couldn't it? Now they are laughing together! Loved this.
Thank God for the eternal hope we have in Him. What a beautiful gift of comfort He gave you. Thank you for sharing.
Wow what an intense story. My heart aches for your pain, yet it rejoices in your joy of knowing where Martin is right now.

The only red ink I have is tiny and something you probably noticed already. I see you repeated this phrase: healthy, chirpy baby,

I believe Martin was laughing for a variety of reasons, knowing how much his parents loved him, flashbacks of simpler times in the womb with his twin, and angels preparing him and you for what was next. Your faith and strength is inspiring.
The acceptance and joy so evident in your piece - in the face of such a tragedy - is a huge inspiration. Thank you for your powerful and profoundly moving piece.

Wow. What a powerful piece. And isn't it just like God to give you that wonderful memory of happiness, just before taking Martin home, where he knows eternal laughter and joy. Only one bit of red ink: you used the sentence "While his brother grew into a healthy, chirpy baby, Martin grew steadily weaker" twice. But this was certainly an inspiringly powerful piece.

Beautiful story, and beautifully written. It gave me goose bumps. I'm sorry you lost your precious little Martin in this world.
