This touched my heart and made tears well in my eyes. How beautifully you portrayed the need of this young boy for a father. And I absolutely love how in the end of the story the MC began to point young Zach to the Father that would never leave him.

Beautifully and realistically written!
Yes, I love the warmth of this story. Such good lessons throughout.
I'll be thinking today about your line about his freckles reaching his ears.
This is real fishing.

This a moving story...the kind that makes for good rainy day reading. I like how you revealed that he was more concerned with helping the boy than fishing. What a wonderful role model. Great job!
Heartwarming! Written with style. If I read between the lines, Mr. Tucker actually caught the kind of "fish" Jesus referred to in the Gospels.
Great imagery throughout this piece. My favorite: but the words spewed out of him like a fizzy bottle of pop.
Today the need is great for good father figures for children in single mom homes. Loved the wisdom of your MC as he mentored this boy.
Kudos to men who "adopt" fatherless boys and act as good role models—even better when they plant spiritual seed in fertile soul.

Good story.
You presented a beautiful picture of fishing for boys with wonderful descriptions and a perfect message. I really loved both of your characters.
Great descriptions. Awesome story of a man and boy. Very good writing.
This was a great story. And in my opinion the MC caught the best catch of the day. Nice job.
Too many of our boys are in desperate need of someone who cares.

This is a winner in my book and I suspect in the eyes of His kingdom.
What a wonderful story! I really enjoyed this one--especially the ending!
Loved this interesting story. I appreciate the way you write - enjoyed this best so far.
A great reminder of what is really important.
Oh, heart-warming...and brings back many memories. I had a boy with lots of questions just like Zach! :) Your play on words with your title (and ultimate message) is wonderful! Great story!
very interesting. Here in sri lanka we also do fishing in lakes.
