My face lifts to the sky;
Waltzing around, a cloud is spun:
Froth—like a puffy sigh.
Gentle waves lap over bare feet;
A crane poises nearby;
Twinkling sun rays erupt with heat,
A silent lullaby.
“Be still and know ‘I AM’ dwells here.
Quiet your restless soul;
My still, small voice is written here,
For nature is my scroll.”
Gazing at the flowers blooming
On stems in grassy seas,
Leaning on the Master’s grooming,
They wave in majesty.
Regal trees rule over this scene
While birds chirp on their limbs.
Crickets add their peculiar keen
To this, their playful hymn.
“Rest your heart, take in My glory,
Release your heavy cares;
You can share with Me your story;
Your burdens I will bear.”
Sitting in this reflective place,
I lift my thoughts in prayer.
Do I presume to take this grace,
His promises, so fair?
Floating ducks skim under the dock;
Sea gulls dive for a meal;
Breezes tickle my windswept locks;
Minnows nibble my heels.
“Do you hear the hushing, My child,
This place to calm your fears?
To Me, such weights are very mild--
Let Me erase your tears.”
Do YOU have a place for hushing,
To set yourself apart?
A refuge port from the rushing,
A place to heal YOUR heart?
“Be still and listen to My voice;
I’m never far away.
Remember quiet is a choice!
Shhh--I will bless your stay.”

On stems in grassy seas,
Leaning on the Master’s grooming,
They wave in majesty." Is my favorite verse, but I love the way you used words to form beautiful pictures and settings throughout. Plus an excellent overall message.
My face lifts to the sky;
Yes, so many times I have done this and felt God there.
I, too, loved the line 'quiet is a choice.'
