WONDERFUL! I loved this poem from start to finish. What a wonderful way to tell the story Lydia, the seller of purple....This poem would hold a child or an adult spell-bound for its rhyme and its rhythm, not to mention the telling of the story. I liked the added imagination of its being a dream, and that you were sitting right there with this "PURPLE" lady, talking with her, and then waking up with the anticipation of one day meeting with her and talking with her in person....I am going to go back now and re read the poem again....LOVED IT!...Helen
What a lovely poem you've woven out of Lydia's purple cloth. The information about the cloth originally was interesting and the creativity, out-of-the-box. Your last stanza was a perfect conclusion...Amen and Amen.
